Inherit Photography is a family business run by me - Prashant Masterson. As well as covering weddings in the Coventry & Warwickshire region, we also cover weddings in and around the Yorkshire area. Richard MacCowan, freelancer, is Inherit's York based photographer.

Photography
Photography has been a vocation ever since I inherited my dad's Olympus OM1n together with his legendary Zuiko lenses in the 1980's.

Despite my passion for capturing images, I was encouraged to also pursue a traditional education. Hence, I graduated with a BSc(Hons) from City University in London, and an MSc. in Computer Science from the University Of Birmingham. I later also attained a Postgraduate Certificate at the University Of Warwick. At heart though I have always been a creative person and my passion remains capturing and documenting people images.

I especially love capturing multi generation family events where old friends and family meet and laugh with one another. All of these wonderful moments become memories in an instant and I feel all of these moments and occasions deserve to be remembered. Photographing events such as weddings allows my candid reportage style photography to capture such moments. In the end for me the most rewarding part is seeing how my work allows families to relive those moments and evoke emotions that were present then.

Tools Today
Of course my tools have moved on from the OM1n and though I love film I am a digital convert. These days my equipment includes full frame DSLRs, optics with floating gyroscopes and lighting systems which talk to one another wirelessly.
