We're not sure about how your services work, we've never booked a professional photographer before. Can you guide us a bit more?
We are a family orientated business and we offer a friendly service where you can call us to simply ask what you have in mind. If you want something different to our fixed price services, we can listen to your ideas, discuss our advice where requested, and then offer you a personalised no obligation quote.
Won't you intimidate our guests with those huge lenses and the flash firing everywhere?
We are experienced in offering reportage photography. This means we want to capture events as they happen in a natural and candid manner. Also, our specialist equipment allows us to frequently avoid flash altogether.
What equipment do you use?
We generally use full frame DSLR's with off camera lighting. Our equipment (and especially lenses) vary depending on the assignment.
Don't you use film anymore?
We love film (we still believe 120mm film is the best!) however we're digital converts and we are in the process of auctioning off our film equipment so can't offer film services.
Can we have the digital files?
Yes you can purchase the copyright. We offer extremely reasonable prices to do this (compared to our competitors) and so obviosuly, you can then make prints at a professional lab or high street store of your choice.
Are our digital photos/files safe, do you back them up?
We backup in ways that even some large companies don't. We will back up onsite during shoots, we will back up (externally) on magentic and opticial media (twice each) and just to be 100% safe we will mirror all this at another geographical site, so even if a fire destroyed everything, your photos will still be safe...!.
How quickly can we have our photos?
For wedding packages we aim to have your final album(s) waiting for you when you return from your honeymoon.
For our other services, we can often provide a contact sheet (a table of all pictures) within a few days.
We can also securely publish client proofs within a few days (for couples on honeymoon we can create a client proof area to securely view images quicker).
For our DVD only packages we can provide the images within a few days.
How far do you travel and do you charge for travel?
We're available to work nationwide, obviously, we have to incorporate travel charges where necessary. For example, if we are going to cover a wedding in Liverpool on Saturday and then another in Birmingham on Sunday. Time permitting, we will also undertake foreign assignments.
Can we tailor our wedding package because we have particular requirements?
Of course! We understand that our work is for your needs, not the other way around, so we are happy to discuss what you have in mind. Where time permits, we can arrange an extended appointment to go through details.
Do you offer discounts for multiple assignments?
Yes, for bookings made at the same time. We also offer concessions for 'recommend a friend' and family photoshoots involving more than 2 generations.
Can we view our photos online?
Yes, subject to terms and conditions. We are currently working on our online shop and in the future we hope to offer an online ordering system.
